The Pop-Key is HYENA’s supplied Rubber Seals-removal tool. To remove the bearing rubber seals, start at its inner edge and gently lift outward, using the approximately 45-degree angle demonstrated in the video.
Opening the rubber seals gives you access to the bearing for cleaning and lubrication. On Street Core, it also lets you fit the replacement seals that carry your kit’s Badge artwork.

1.Before You Start
This guide follows the red HYENA rubber seals shown in the video. It covers removing the seals from the bearing, not removing the bearing from a skateboard wheel.
Have your Pop-Key, bearing and replacement seal ready. Work in a clean area and keep your fingers clear of the tool’s tip.
2.Remove The Seals
Hold the bearing steady: Position it with the rubber seals facing you so you can see its inner edge around the centre opening.
Position the hooked tip: Approach the seal's inner edge at approximately 45 degrees, following the close-up demonstration. Start from the inner circle, not the outer rim.
Gently lift outward: Lift the rubber seals away from the bearing. The motion is a lift, not a cut through the rubber.
Set the seals aside: If you need to open the other side, turn the bearing over and repeat the demonstrated motion.
Take your time with the first bearing. The angle and contact point matter more than how quickly the seals comes off.

3.Refit The Seals
Position the replacement seal over the bearing with the printed side facing outward. Press it back into place with your fingers, as shown in the video.
Check that the seal sits evenly. If it does not sit correctly, stop and consult the supplied Rubber Seals Removal Guide rather than forcing it into place.
4.Why The Pop-Key
The video also compares the supplied tool with a utility knife. Close-up footage shows visible marks on the seals removed with the knife.
Use the Pop-Key and the demonstrated technique rather than substituting a utility knife. This walkthrough applies to the HYENA seals shown; it is not a universal removal guide for every bearing or metal seals.
5.Five Badge Designs
Street Core’s Badge replacement seals feature five designs. Each pairs a graphic with a different expression of riding style.

Design | Artwork | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
WILD | Claw marks | Freedom to ride your own way. Never tamed, never waiting to fit in. |
BOSS | Crowns | Confidence to own your line and make the streets feel like yours. |
GRID | Grid pattern | Resilience on hard ground. Fall seven times, stand up eight. |
FLOW | Waves | Finding your rhythm without forcing it. Let the ride come together. |
RARE | Four-point stars | Being original, even when not everyone gets you. |
These are artwork identities, not bearing grades or speed rankings.
Each Street Core kit contains eight bearings with 16 seals already fitted, plus 16 additional replacement seals in one randomly selected Badge design. The Rider Badge Card explains the design included in your box.
The five designs shown in the video represent the range, not five sets included in every box. Badge-pattern replacement seals are a Street Core feature; Hyper Speed’s additional replacement seals do not carry this artwork.
